This event is part of our series ‘Shall my valley be green again?’ Encounters with the post-industrial landscape.
Our speakers will present a range of disciplinary approaches from which to engage productively with the legacies of industrial and other large-scale landscape transformations, and their entanglement with social and political shifts.
The movement of resources, the demands of urbanised areas and the wider economic processes have shaped our environments and caused uncontrolled effects on the territory. Multidisciplinary perspectives to research can shed light on the human impact on the landscape and offer alternative avenues for action.
In this event, speakers will present different conceptual and visual approaches to understand and engage with the widespread consequences of urban, colonial and industrial processes.
