This is the second event of our series ‘Shall my valley be green again?’ Encounters with the post-industrial landscape.

In 1966, the former Chairman of the 1951 Festival of Britain and passionate naturalist, Max Nicholson, founded a new landscape design practice, Land Use Consultants, to demonstrate how the transformation of derelict land could be incorporated in national policy.

Members of the practice will discuss his vision and legacy.

For the foreseeable future the SAHGB Seminars will be virtual events via Zoom. We will circulate joining instructions via email the morning of the scheduled event. Please complete the form below to register.
