This is the fourth event of our series ‘Shall my valley be green again?’ Encounters with the post-industrial landscape.

The Centre of Alternative Technology (CAT) was founded in 1973 in an abandoned quarry in Wales, and has developed from an experimental residential community and visitor centre to an educational leader in renewable energy, sustainable food and green building.

Long standing CAT member John Urry will share insights into CAT’s origins and development over time and Architect and CAT Senior Lecturer Tim Coleridge will talk about current projects and research.

For the foreseeable future the SAHGB Seminars will be virtual events via Zoom. We will circulate joining instructions via email the morning of the scheduled event. Please complete the form below to register.
