SAHGB Vacancy: Communications Officer

The Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain is seeking a volunteer Communications Officer who will help coordinate the communications of a wide range of the society’s activities and content across multiple media channels. They will help us to develop a voice in advocacy and outreach.

This is an important voluntary role within the Society, working closely with the Programmes Officer, Education Officer, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer, Chair, President and Management Team. We anticipate this role to require 2 – 3 hours per week, with occasional meetings with the Honorary Secretary, other Officers and the Management Team, the Administrator and the Website and Digital Contents Intern, and providing a brief report to the Board of Trustees meetings (quarterly).

  • Understanding of contemporary forms of media and digital tools and capabilities

  • Demonstrable alignment with the mission and objectives of the SAHGB

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including flexibility, consensus building, collaborative working
