ADH 2020: Shortlist Interview - Łukasz Stanek

In the lead up to the Annual Lecture and Awards Ceremony, our President, Neil Jackson, interviews the authors shortlisted for the Alice Davis Hitchcock Medallion. In the first interview, Neil is joined by Dr Łukasz Stanek to discuss Architecture in the Age of Global Socialism.

Dr Stanek reflects: ‘When writing Architecture in Global Socialism, I imagined its future readers to be architectural historians, but also my students at the Manchester School of Architecture. Many of them are coming from the Global South, and it is essential that they get to know how non-Western actors produced 20th century architecture as a global project. I am very honoured that my book has been shortlisted for the Alice Davis Hitchcock Medallion.’
